Why is "w" called "w"? It's not really double "u". It looks more like two "v"s. "W" should be call "double v" instead.

Today is AIDS Day. I find it rather odd to have a day dedicated to a disease. Diseases are usually bad. So to have a day for it seems rather silly. I am in no way supporting AIDS Day. For the record, I am against AIDS.
