movie review:

Summer is always full with blockbuster movies and the only one I had to go see was Fahrenheit 9/11.  Sure there was Shrek 2 and Spiderman 2 and Troy and other great blockbuster but there was only one must see movie for me.  I have been a fan of Michael Moore ever since Roger and Me.  I thought Bowling for Columbine was great and I even bought the DVDs for his television show The Awful Truth.  So I was quite excited when I heard he had a new movie coming out about how the Bush administration has messed up the last four years.  The movie turned out to be mediocre.  It felt a little too long.  You can only bash on Bush for so long.  Michael Moore seems to really hate Bush.  I think that he may have accused Bush of many things that weren't true.  These accusations could have been blamed on any president.  My favorite part is at the end where Moore challenges us to think.  The people in the military are poor and from the lower classes.  We don't see rich people sending their kids to Iraq.  They go to Iraq and other places on this planet to defend freedom.  A freedom for them would still be a poverty stricken life.  Why would they want to risk their lives to remain where they are at?  It's a good question and there's no easy solution.  Although it was a disappointing movie, it had it's moments and it does leave the audience thinking.
